A new study says not getting enough sleep could increase your risk of heart disease by 48 percent.

That study, published in the European Heart Journal, says people who get less than six hours of sleep each night have a much higher risk of heart attacks and strokes than people who get at least seven hours of sleep a night.

The researchers say when your body doesn't get enough rest it produces chemicals that increase your risk of serious health problems.
