Kate Middleton, who is engaged to the UK's Prince William, is said to have recently dined with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall and her future stepmother-in-law.
The British Monarchy has not confirmed the report by the UK newspaper The Daily Mail, which featured photos of the two walking together. It said Middleton wore a Diane Von Furstenberg dress and met Camilla, the 63-year-old wife of Prince Charles, Prince William's father, for lunch to discuss the April 29 wedding.
The two were joined by Middleton's sister Pippa and Camilla's daughter Laura Lopez and dined at Koffman's, a new restaurant at the upscale Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, a posh area of London, the Daily Mail added.
"'I heard Camilla saying, 'If I can give you one bit of advice..." the newspaper quoted a witness as saying. "I did hear talk of trumpets and someone said, 'We can't have trumpets, the ceiling is too high."
Middleton, 29, and Prince William, 28, met eight years ago when they were students. The two plan to wed in Westminster Abbey, the site of the 1997 funeral of his mother, Princess Diana, as well as the 1947 wedding of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The date of the wedding falls on a Friday and will be marked as a national holiday in the United Kingdom.
