The Carnival Splendor is back in the water after undergoing weeks of repairs.

The cruise ship took a test drive Friday in San Francisco and is set to depart Monday.

Back in November, a fire knocked out its engines, leaving passengers stranded just outside Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The ship didn't have electricity or hot water, and had an overflowing sewage system and very little food.

The cruise line hopes for smooth sailing next week when the Splendor heads to the Mexican Riviera.
