EL MONTE, Calif. --
Authorities closed a busy stretch of the Pomona (60) Freeway in El Monte on Sunday morning to search for more evidence from a car-to-car shooting.
A portion of the 60 Freeway was closed for two hours, giving deputies a chance to search for bullet casings and other clues from Friday's shooting. An off-duty deputy exchanged gunfire with another driver.
Authorities say it was a case of road rage.
The deputy was not hurt, but the other driver was grazed by a bullet. That driver is now in jail for suspicion of attempted murder.
