Roses are the number one request this year. The average Valentine's Day customer is paying about $150 for an arrangement in the US.
Spending is up this year for Valentine's Day. Men are still spending more than women at an average of $158, compared to $75 for women. Gifts for friends average a little over $6, gifts for classmates and teachers are a little under $5, and coworkers spend about $3 on each other.
Flowers are the big winner this Valentine's Day, with consumers spending $1.7 billion this year.
