Fundraiser held to solve car fanatic's murder

TORRANCE, Calif.

Friends, family and admirers met at the Queen Mary Events Park to remember Joe Gosinski and to raise money for a reward fund.

Gosinski's body was found this past Christmas Eve inside his Mustang performance shop in Torrance.

He'd owned the business for the past 10 years, customizing Mustangs and other sports cars.

His killer still hasn't been found.

"He was a good friend. He was an icon. He was an uncle to my little boy. He was just a really good guy, and his time came too soon," said John Schultz, president of the Beach Cities Mustang Club.

After the memorial, a special Car Cruise was held from Long Beach to Torrance.

Organizers are hoping to raise thousands of dollars for a reward fund in hopes of catching the killer.
