Alec Baldwin receives Walk of Fame star

HOLLYWOOD, LOS ANGELES

He told the crowd he started on a daytime soap at NBC's 30 Rock and now, he's on "30 Rock."

"Even though I've done a lot of different things in film - big films, little films - plays, so forth. The television show that I'm doing now really has been the best experience I've ever had," said Baldwin.

"Will and Grace" co-star Megan Mullally, "30 Rock" co-star Jack McBrayer and Baldwin's younger brother, Stephen, joined him at the ceremony in front of the Beso restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard.

Since 2006, Baldwin has portrayed network executive Jack Donaghy on "30 Rock," receiving four Emmy nominations as outstanding lead actor in a comedy and two Emmys.

/*Baldwin*/ has appeared in more than 40 films and hosted "Saturday Night Live" 15 times, tying his 2010 Oscars co-host Steve Martin. He has also won three /*Golden Globes*/ and five /*SAG*/ awards.

His film credits include "It's Complicated," "Glengarry Glen Ross," "The Aviator," "The Hunt for Red October," "The Shadow," "Beetlejuice," "Miami Blues," "Ghosts of Mississippi," "The Cat in the Hat" and "The Departed."
