$50K offered in murder of Best Buy worker

SOUTH LOS ANGELES

Herbert Seymour Jr., 31, was gunned down Thursday night less than a block from his home near 104th Street and Western Avenue. The father of two was going to the store when he was shot to death.

Police say the shooter, a man in his 20s, fled on foot, but they have no motive. Detectives said the victim is not a gang member.

Seymour was popular with coworkers as a member of the so-called "Geek Squad" at a Best Buy store in Hawthorne. The store is helping Councilman Bernard Parks put up the reward money.

Anyone with information is urged to call the LAPD at (213) 485-4164.
