Light showers, but heavy SoCal rain awaits

BURBANK, Calif.

Early Tuesday morning it rained for several hours, and then the faucets in the sky shut off. Then later Tuesday evening, scattered rain spread across the Southland.

The light rain has produced nothing more than a few puddles and wet roads. However, the dark clouds are a clear indication that a good shower is in store for the greater Los Angeles-area.

The storm is expected to move in and bring down buckets of rain to the area for three to four days.

"Complete pandemonium and panic," said Orange County resident Jim Edwards. "I am from Connecticut where it rains a couple times a week. People go absolutely insane here when it rains."

Snow levels are also expected to drop down to lower elevations.
