Reality star Kim Kardashian is gearing up for the release of her new dance track "Turn It Up." The track, which was produced by The Dream, will also have a music video directed by Hype Williams.
Kardashian stopped to talk about the her upcoming music venture with MTV at the Grammy Awards on Sunday and revealed, "[It's coming out] in about three weeks. I'm so excited."
"You know, it was something that I was really uncomfortable and nervous about, and [The-Dream] really just wanted me to step outside of my box and try something I've never done before," Kardashian added.
"So I was really honest. I'm like, 'You're not gonna get Beyoncé here, you're not gonna get Celine Dion,' and he really pulled something out of me."
Fans will be able to see Kardashian working on the song on an upcoming episode of "Kim & Kourtney Take New York." However, the reality star says she's not trying to make a career out of her blip on the music scene.
"I'm proud of myself that I tried something. It's all in fun," she told the music channel. "We just had a good time and the proceeds are going to a cancer organization [because we both] lost a parent to cancer. So it's just fun."
Previously, The 30-year-old, who had debuted her track at a Las Vegas night club in January, said on her Twitter page that night: "2011 is all about trying new things and going for it! I'm starting mine w something fun and crazy! I know u c me on the video...TRUE! I know you'll hear me on the radio..."
