Prince William and Kate Middleton are reportedly set to visit Canada in their first overseas royal tour as a married couple.
The two will tour Alberta, the Northwest Territories, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Ottawa from June 30 to July 8, two months after their wedding on April 29, French news agency Agence France-Presse quoted St. James Palace as saying in a statement.
Middleton, 29, and Prince William, 28, met eight years ago when they were students. The two plan to wed in Westminster Abbey, the site of the 1997 funeral of his mother, Princess Diana, as well as the 1947 wedding of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.
The date of the wedding falls on a Friday and will be marked as a national holiday in the United Kingdom.
William was last in Canada at age 15 in 1998. The prince visited Vancouver with his father, Prince Charles, and brother, Prince Harry.
