"I think any time there's an opportunity for rain, it's good. This is /*Southern California*/ and we need the rain. It makes everything green and it fills up the aquifers so that people have more water," said Ventura resident Patty Riddle.
"I think it's a good thing to have the rain. I believe we absolutely need it. The only thing is that you just need to drive a little slower, take your time and give yourself enough time to get to where you need to be," said resident Paul Lee.
Drivers were urged to take it slow on the roads because more rain is expected to hit the area.
"We all just slow down a little bit. So far, I haven't been involved in any accidents or seen any, so we're just going to keep up the good work," said driver Linda Tuttle.
