When 70-year-old Leroy Tarver collapsed with chest pains, his family called 911. The EMT's arrived, performed CPR, declared Tarver dead and left.
The family then called a mortician, but while waiting for the mortician to arrive, Tarver began to move. So they called 911 again and Tarver was taken to the hospital.
Four days later, Tarver passed away.
"My question was, had they carried him to the hospital earlier, would he still be here?" asked family members. "If they had took him to the hospital the first time, he would have been here today."
The county emergency medical service said it is investigating the incident.
