Christina Applegate says her new daughter Sadie Grace LeNoble, her first child, "opened" her "soul."
She and her fiance, musician Martyn LeNoble, welcomed their baby girl, on January 27 in Los Angeles. Applegate, the 39-year-old star of the shows "Samantha Who?" and "Married With Children," star and LeNoble, a 41-year-old Dutch musician and founding member of Porno for Pyros became engaged last year on February 14 after dating for two years. Applegate announced her pregnancy in July 2010.
Applegate underwent a double mastectomy in 2008 after she was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has since recovered."I've had to talk about that word [cancer] more than I've ever had to talk about a word in my life," Applegate told People magazine, which featured her and her new baby on its recent cover. "After a while you're like, 'There's got to be something else to me. Yeah, now I'm Mom. She's healed me in so many ways. She's just made my life so much better. She's opened my whole soul."
"I felt my heart literally open up for the first time and like wrap itself around her," the actress said. "It was profound. And I'm more in love with her every minute of the day. I want to be the ultimate burper and diaper-changer, I want to be the ultimate at all of it. Sometimes I stand there going, 'I'm not doing any of this right!' And then I get this big man belch out of her and I go, 'Ah, we accomplished this together.'"
Applegate was married to actor Johnathon Schaech for six years and the two divorced in 2007. They had no children.
