Sarah Palin still thinking about 2012 run

NEW YORK

The former governor of Alaska and vice presidential candidate said during an interview in front of a New York business group that the reason she hired a chief of staff last week for her political action committee was an attempt to better organize her life.

When asked about former /*New York City*/ Mayor Rudy Giuliani's comments that he might be inclined to run if she runs, Palin called him awesome but didn't elaborate.

Palin also talked about proposed gun regulations in Arizona. She said there shouldn't be new gun measures because of the Tucson shooting rampage that killed six people and left Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords critically injured.

Palin was criticized after the shootings because she had published campaign literature advocating the ouster of Giffords and other House Democrats by placing their districts in the crosshairs of a gun.
