Former "Bachelor" contestant Melissa Rycroft Strickland and her husband Tye Strickland, welcomed a baby girl on Wednesday, according to People magazine.
The girl, born in Dallas, was named Ava Grace Strickland and weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces. Rycroft Strickland announced he pregnancy in July. It is the first child for the couple, who wed in December of 2009.
"Our lives have changed so much in the last two years and today we've been blessed with the best change ever, our beautiful baby girl," the 27-year-old new mom told the magazine.
Rycroft Strickland won the 13th season of "The Bachelor" in 2009 but her relationship with the star, Jason Mesnick, did not last. She then competed in the eighth season of "Dancing With the Stars" and finished third. Rycroft can be seen next month co-hosting another spinoff show of "The Bachelor," called "Bachelor Pad."
