OTRC: 'Born This Way' video due next week, Lady Gaga says

Lady Gaga plans to release the music video for her new single, "Born This Way," next week.

The pop singer performed the song at the recent 2011 Grammy Awards, during which she appeared inside a giant egg and won three prizes.

"I'm going to be at MSG and right around that time will be also when the video is coming out," Lady Gaga said in a recent interview with New York radio station 92.3 NOW, referring to her February 21 and 22 concerts at Madison Square Garden. "I'm very excited about that."

"The vision and theme of the video as well as the Grammy performance is the birth of a new race within the race of humanity and it is the race of young people, that bear no prejudice," Lady Gaga added. "It's not quite as long as some of the videos I've done before.

The singer is known for her slim figure and appeared toned at the Grammy Awards and said in the interview that she recently lost 10 pounds, adding: "I have been reading a website called the Drunk Diet, but I've also been doing a ton of yoga and just eating really healthy and dancing a lot."

The diet was developed by Luc Carl, Lady Gaga's rumored on-again, off-again boyfriend. The plan is detailed in his upcoming book by the same name, which is "an awe-inspiring tale of an ordinary rock 'n roll guy who managed to transform a lifestyle based around whiskey and 5 a.m. cheeseburgers into a wildly successful fitness regime," according to a press release from publisher St. Martin's Press.

Many have said "Born This Way" sounds like Madonna's 1980s song, "Express Yourself." Comparisons between the two have often been made. Both have showcased risque fashion choices. Lady Gaga has appeared on the cover of magazines and in her music videos dressed in outfits similar to those worn by Madonna.

Lady Gaga's second studio album, also called "Born This Way," is set for release on May 23, 2011. The singer promised fans at a concert stop in Poland in November that the record will be the "greatest album of this decade." It has been reported that the record may contain up to 20 tracks.

Lady Gaga also recently collaborated with veteran singer Elton John on a track called "Hello, Hello" for the new animated film "Gnomeo & Juliet."
