Thousands remain without power around SoCal

LOS ANGELES

Edison said they are making progress, with about 1,938 customers remaining without power on Saturday night. About 7,600 Edison customers were without power on Saturday afternoon.

Most of those affected live along the foothills, where the winds have been especially strong. The hardest hit areas were in the Arrowhead area, with 389 customers without power, and the San Gabriel Valley, with 380 customers without power.

Power lines were downed in parts of the /*Inland Empire*/, leaving residents in Highland and Fontana without power. It was the same story in Fontana, where power lines were also knocked down.

Power was also out in one part of /*San Bernardino*/, where strong winds caused a eucalyptus tree to topple. It landed across the street on top of a roof.

Outages were also reported in Orange and Ventura counties.
