Bear, a 2-year-old Patterdale Terrier, was reunited with his owner on Saturday.
Bear disappeared from his Northern California home on Tuesday. Somehow, he made it all the way to Tacoma, Wash.
"I think somebody picked him up to keep him. He had a name tag on with phone numbers, his name, my last name and I got no phone calls," said Bear's owner Bryan Rapozo.
With his tags missing, it's lucky that Bear had a microchip.
With a quick scan, the Humane Society identified him and called Rapozo, who had to drive 13 hours to pick him up.
