61-year-old critically hurt in OC hit-and-run

ANAHEIM, Calif.

The pedestrian was walking along a crosswalk in the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Katella Avenue at approximately 2 a.m. when she was struck by a car traveling north on Harbor Boulevard.

The car initially stopped but drove away after a short time, leaving the injured woman on the street.

The victim was transported to a local trauma center, where she was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a mid-1990s to mid-2000s white Honda Accord or Nissan Altima or Maxima. The driver was described as a Hispanic male in his mid 40s.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released but officials said she is of Asian descent.
