North Hollywood High School won the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power's 19th Annual Science Bowl Regional Competition.

Nearly 300 Los Angeles area students put their minds to work Saturday, trying to beat out the competition. The TV game show style format added to the fun. The competition is in its 19th year.

As regional title holders, the North Hollywood High School Team A will receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C. to represent the City of Los Angeles at the National Science Bowl April 28 to May 2, 2011. Team members also win the Hitachi Scholarship.

The LADWP regional championship teams are typically among the best in the nation. Previous LADWP regional winning teams captured four national titles and placed among the top five teams nationally 10 times.
