The /*California Highway Patrol*/ is running escorts on the northbound Interstate 15 at Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley, after shutting down all lanes immediately after the crash.
The CHP believes that icy conditions played a factor in the multiple accident crash that involved at least eight vehicles.
Officers said the male deceased victim involved in the accident had got out of the vehicle and was struck.
