Morrison said that he was trying to go a different direction from "Glee" with his song, which describes a couple making love on a rooftop in the rain.
"I want to stay a little bit away from 'Glee,'" he said, adding that he believed that in order to "be taken seriously, I had to write my own songs."
Morrison spent about ten years on Broadway before joining the cast of "Glee" He told OnTheRedCarpet.com that he hopes that his upcoming album, which will be released in May, will appeal to the eclectic "Glee" audience.
"The music career is something I've always wanted to do but I think that 'Glee' is really afforded me the opportunity to really put that out there," Morrison told OnTheRedCarpet.com last month. "It's very personal to me, I wrote a lot of the songs that are on the album and I'm just really proud of it, I hope people dig it."
The cast, who recently broke Elvis Presley's record for having the most songs reach the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in its 52-year history with 113 tracks, will sing two original songs called "Loser Like Me" and "Get it Right."
Gwyneth Paltrow is returning for two episodes of "Glee" this season to play the easygoing substitute teacher Holly Holiday and she will be joining Will Morrison in a rousing rendition of Prince's 80's hit, "Kiss," which will reportedly include a tango and a kiss. Paltrow's "Glee" return episode will air on March 8, 2011 at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
