The 11 contestants for the new season of "Dancing With the Stars" cast have been announced and Kirtsie Alley admits, "I've sort of crawled out of my cave to do this."
Alley will hit the ballroom floor along with reality star Kendra Wilkinson, Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward, "Loveline" co-host and KROQ radio DJ Mike Catherwood, talk show host Wendy Williams, WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, rapper Romeo, the original "Karate Kid" star Ralph Macchio, "Jonas L.A." and "Fish Hooks" star Chelsea Kane and model Petra Nemcova.
"I don't know if I'm fearless but I'm crazy," the actress and reality star told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "I've done every genre there is, pretty much, TV, movies, things like that. I haven't really done dance or singing."
She jokes, "So 'Dancing With the Stars' first, then 'Singing With the Stars,' the show that I'm going to produce. It's gonna be a huge hit. Duets. With pros and stars."
There was a reality show called "Celebrity Duets" in 2006 which paired celebrities with professional singers to perform duets in a weekly competition. Alley's fellow "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Chris Jericho was the first to be eliminated from "Celebrity Duets" while "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" and "Silver Spoons" star Alfonso Ribeiro won the competition.
The actress is known for her roles in the "Look Who's Talking" films as well as her work on "Cheers," "Veronica's Closet," and "Fat Actress." Alley starred in a 2010 reality show called "Kirstie Alley's Big Life."
Alley sized up her competition saying, "It is a great mix and you can't really tell who is going to be good or who is not. I think Kendra [Wilkinson] is going to be ? hot. I mean she really could just stand there basically and be hot. I'm sure if she can move anything she'll be hot."
Season 12 of "Dancing With the Stars" returns on Monday, March 21 at 8 p.m. ET with a two-hour premiere and "Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show" premieres the following week Tuesday, March 29 at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
