LA school board to close 6 charter schools

LOS ANGELES

The Los Angeles Board of Education voted Tuesday to close the schools, saying there was insufficient response to the allegations.

John Allen, the founder of Crescendo organization, allegedly ordered principals and teachers to use actual test questions in preparing students for the exams.

Allen has denied any wrongdoing.

The schools affected are those operated by the Crescendo organization.

The schools will remain open through the end of the year.
