John Travolta is set to reunite with the cast of his old 1970s comedy series "Welcome Back, Kotter" at the 2011 TV Land Awards in April.
The cable network plans to honor the series with the 35th Anniversary Award at the ceremony, which takes place in New York City at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center on Sunday, April 10 and is set to air on TV Land the following week, on April 17 at 9 p.m. ET.
In "Welcome Back, Kotter," which ran between 1975 and 1979,Travolta played a smart-aleck student named Vinnie Barbarino at an inner-city high school. Gabe Kaplan, now 65, played teacher Mr. Kotter, who is also a former alum.
Others set to appear at the ceremony include Travolta's co-stars Lawrence Hilton-Jacobs, Ron Palillo and Marcia Strassman, TV Land said in a statement. Others have not yet been announced.
