4 men in masks rob women changing flat tire in Santa Ana

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Police said the women had just gone to the bank on Thursday afternoon and had withdrawn more than $40,000 to cover their mother's hospice care and help out another family member. A man told them their tire was flat, so they stopped to change it on the 5300 block of West Barbette Avenue near South Euclid Street.

Authorities said while that man was helping the women, four suspects wearing masks drove up and robbed them. One suspect had a knife.

The four men took off and are still on the loose.

The man who was helping to change their tire stayed on scene to talk to police.

The suspects are described as Asian men ranging from 18 to 22 years old with stocky builds, weighing approximately 180 to 200 pounds and 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall.

The men were reportedly wearing black masks and dark clothes and drove off in a dark grey or silver compact car.
