NY woman faces charges for trashing liquor store

NEW YORK

Police said Mahogany Morrow swiped her arm across shelves at the store, sending bottles crashing to the ground.

Morrow said she got into a dispute with the store and said it was the clerk's use of the phrase "you people" which set her off. She has apologized, but it may not be enough.

"I am angry about it," said Chis Giacopelli, son of the store owner. "I've never seen this happen. In 25 years in the business, I've never seen anyone do something like this."

Morrow turned herself into police and was charged with felony criminal mischief. If convicted, she faces more than a year in prison.
