Thousands turn out for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

LOS ANGELES

An estimated 15,000 people took part in the 15th Annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

The event at Dodger Stadium included a 5K walk and run and a 1K Children's Fun Run.

Many of the participants wore pink in honor of those who have fought breast cancer. The proceeds from Sunday's race go toward breast cancer treatment and prevention.

This year's race was expected to raise more than $1 million.
