A jogger called authorities on Wednesday after finding the body in a canyon off Turnbull Canyon Road and Skyline Drive.
The woman has not yet been identified, but the L.A. County Coroner's Office says she died from a gunshot wound to the head. According to the coroner, the body is a Hispanic woman in her 30s.
