A cock-fighting bust in Fillmore led to the discovery of dozens of live and dead birds on Sunday, but investigators are still looking for suspects.

A cock-fighting bust in Fillmore led to the discovery of dozens of live and dead birds on Sunday, but investigators are still looking for suspects.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department responded to a horse boarding facility on the 1700 block of Grimes Canyon Road to find a possible cock fight in an open arena at about 10:10 a.m. Deputies found about 15 dead birds and 70 live birds.

The suspects had left just before deputies got there. No arrests have been made.
