Mariah Carey and husband Nick Cannon recently celebrated the upcoming birth of their twin son and daughter with a lavish baby shower in Beverly Hills.
The festivities took place at the Conservatory Grill at the Montage Hotel, which was "transformed into a blue-and-pink wonderland" on Sunday," People magazine reported, adding that the couple arrived in a black Rolls-Royce that Cannon had given Carey, as a Christmas gift.
"Still haven't really opened all the gifts but seeing so many people who came from all over the world to be there with us was the BEST gift we could ask for!" she added. "The 'Always Be My Babies' 'Lamb Book' is definitely my new prized possession and I can't thank the Lambs around the world enough for your letters and well wishes."
Other baby gifts included two almost life-size stuffed giraffes and two chairs hand-made for the twins, People reported. Randy Jackson, a veteran judge of "American Idol," was among the guests, it said.
Carey announced in October she was pregnant and was set to give birth in the spring of 2011. She also said she had suffered a miscarriage two years ago.Carey and Cannon confirmed in February that they were expecting a boy and a girl. The twins will be the first children for Carey and Cannon, who married in 2008.
