Robert Casares, 50, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter in the infant's death.
On Tuesday, Casares was sentenced to three years probation, 300 hours of community service and a $5,500 donation to a children's charity.
In September, he took his eyes off the road and plowed into a pickup truck in /*Huntington Beach*/.
That pushed the truck into a crosswalk where it hit the baby's stroller. The infant was ejected and later died.
