A new Michael Jackson music video for his song "Hollywood Tonight" has been released and depicts a young woman dancing to the late singer's song on the streets of Los Angeles and at a strip club.

The track is from Jackson's posthumous album "Michael," which was released in December 2010 and which contains unreleased songs the King of Pop recorded before his death at age 50 in June 2009.

In the video, a young woman, played by Algeria-born hip hop dancer Sofia Boutella, arrives in Hollywood on a bus to pursue her dream to become a dancer.

She waits in line for auditions, performs Jackson's famed Moon Walk on the streets of Los Angeles, goes to a nightclub and works as a waitress and a stripper. She and other children also dance on Hollywood's Walk of Fame, where Michael Jackson's star is located. The singer himself is seen in posters and on billboards.

"Her story represents the struggle for every artist or musician struggling to make it in the world," said a message on Jackson's website on Thursday, March 10.

Wayne Isham directed the clip. He previously helmed the video for Jackson's song "You Are Not Alone," which was released in 1995 and starred his then-wife Lisa Marie Presley. Isham also directed the Britney Spears videos "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" in 2002 and "Piece of Me" in 2007. He also directed clips for Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Adam Lambert, Kelly Clarkson and Muse.

Boutella has also appeared in music videos for songs by Ne-Yo, Usher, Rihanna, Chris Brown and Madonna.
