Amy Poehler and the cast of NBC's comedy "Parks and Recreation" did a panel at Paleyfest and confirmed that there will indeed be a romantic connection between Poehler's character Leslie Knope and the government auditor, Ben Wyatt, who's played by Adam Scott.

When asked about how Poehler and Scott prepared for their on-screen kiss, the actors joked that they practiced beforehand.

"Well, a month before Adam was even on the show," Poehler said in the panel, "I invited him over to my house and I just was like, 'come in,' right? Do you remember that?"

"Yeah, and I was just like, 'What's up? You wanna kiss?'" Scott joked, "And you know what? It was (expletive) on."

Poehler confirmed, "Yeah, my game was tight."

"Parks and Recreation" follows a local government Parks division in Pawnee, Indiana as they struggle to survive in the tough economic climate and make otherwise mundane daily government business hilarious.

Scott joined the cast of "Parks and Recreation" last season with Rob Lowe, whose character had a brief relationship with Rashida Jones' character. The NBC mocumentary is now in its third season and the romance will be one of two newbie relationships, including the partnering of April (Aubrey Plaza) and Andy (Chris Pratt). But Poehler hints that Ben might be just what her character needed.

"He is the first one who's interested in the same thing she's interested in," Poehler said. "They're very evenly matched, which I think is always interesting to see whether or not that works. But I think Pawnee is like Leslie's child and if you start to like Pawnee, you know, Leslie is like a single mother and Pawnee is her kid. And Ben starts to like Pawnee and if you're nice to Pawnee...then I will have sex with you."

When OnTheRedCarpet.com asked Rashida Jones what we could expect in the new seaon, she said the cast would be getting drunk a lot and her character was about to go buckwild.

"We get drunk a lot this season," Rashida Jones told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "We shot this season over the course of a year. Amy's had, like, five children since we started this season. I have a little bit of an empowered slut phase coming up."

Poehler is one of the founding members of the improvisational comedy group, The Upright Citizens Brigade. She began her comedy career studying at Second City in Chicago with her friend Tina Fey and the two both eventually joined the cast of the live sketch show, "Saturday Night Live."

In Thursday night's episode, the group will be getting ready for Pawnee's Harvest Festival and Poehler warns that it's "do or die" for the Parks department because, "if it goes well, her department survives and if it doesn't, some people are gonna get fired."

"Parks and Recreation" airs at 9:30 p.m. ET on Thursdays on NBC.
