Oxnard police on the hunt for sexual assault suspect

Oxnard Police are looking for a man who burglarized and sexually assaulted a woman in her home Thursday.

Oxnard Police are looking for a man who burglarized and sexually assaulted a woman in her home Thursday.

Officers said a male suspect armed with a hand gun entered the victim's apartment, located in the 5200 block of South J Street. The suspect sexually assaulted the victim before fleeing the residence.

The suspect is described as a 22-year-old Hispanic male, with dark hair, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build. He was wearing a long sleeve black shirt and black pants. The suspect had a piercing above his right eye and possibly one on his lower lip.

The victim was able to provide information for a sketch of the suspect. Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect identity is asked to contact Oxnard police at 805-385-7662.
