OTRC: Olivia Wilde files for divorce from husband Tao Ruspoli

Actress Olivia Wilde is one step closer to ending her marriage.

The "TRON: Legacy" and "House" star filed divorce papers on March 3 in Los Angeles Superior Court citing irreconcilable differences, according to People magazine. Wilde, 26, has been married to her husband, Italian prince Tao Ruspoli, 35, for eight years.

The couple eloped in 2003 and announced their separation on February. The two have no children. This was the couple's first marriage.

Ruspoli was born in Thailand and was raised in Italy and Los Angeles. He currently lives in Venice, California. Ruspoli has directed mostly documentaries. His family owns Rome's Palazzo Ruspoli and a castle in Vignanello, Italy.

"We eloped, then had weddings at my parents' Virginia farmhouse and the garden of his family's castle outside Rome," Wilde told People in 2007. "There were stilt walkers, drummers, flag bearers; it was surreal and beautiful and amazing, like a fairy tale."

According to the papers filed, Wilde has asked the court refuse spousal support for her husband.

Wilde is rumored to be dating Ryan Gosling, according to recent reports. Spokespeople for Wilde and Gosling, who is 30 and recently appeared in "Blue Valentine," had no immediate comment.

The actors were "spotted walking hand-in-hand with Ryan Gosling at a Cincinnati aquarium," Us Weekly reported recently, adding that the two were also spotted "getting cozy at a Golden Globes after party" on January 16.

Wilde recently filmed the movies "Cowboys & Aliens" with Harrison Ford and "James Bond" actor Daniel Craig and "Butter" with Hugh Jackman and "Twilight" actress Ashley Greene.
