Womack had to choose between Chantal O'Brien and Emily Maynard.
In a dramatic turn of events, Womack finally proposed to Maynard, who is a children's hospital event planner from Charlotte, N.C.
With teary eyes, Maynard said yes to the proposal.
"I'm a happy guy right now. In fact, couldn't be happier," Womack said.
It was Womack's second final rose ceremony. You may remember he boldly chose neither of his final two bachelorettes when he first went looking for love in the fall of 2007.
This time, he says he's in love.
Womack had remained contractually tight-lipped, but he did promise one thing for this final rose ceremony.
"I think the finale is one of the most romantic I've ever seen," Womack said. "I'm a fan of the show, I was before, so I think it ends really well. I'm looking towards the future."
