There has been a crackdown on protesters in Bahrain.

Soldiers and riot police expelled hundreds of protesters from the country's capital Wednesday. Armored vehicles and tear gas swept through a square in Manama where protesters have camped out for weeks.

At least five people have reportedly been killed. The country's Sunni leaders are desperate to hold power, and majority Shiites are calling for an end to their dynasty.

The king of Bahrain has imposed a three-month state of emergency rule in the country, imposing a 4 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew in most of the county.
