After entering the station's convenience store, surveillance video shows the two men appearing to point a gun at store owner Kamil Alakabi.
Alakabi, who served in the Iraqi army for seven years, was also armed and started shooting at the robbers when they went after one of his employees.
"I tried to grab his gun and they put me on the floor and they punched me with their gun in my shoulder," said Alakabi.
The store owner chased after the robbers, but they escaped. Police were still looking for the suspects.
Despite all of the bullets flying, no one was hurt in the shootout.
