Orlando Bloom is enjoying fatherhood since he and his wife, model Miranda Kerr welcomed their son Flynn on January 6 and says that bathing his son is especially nice, the actor said in an interview on British station ITV's morning show "Lorraine."

"I've been bathing with him a lot recently," Bloom told "Lorraine" host Kate Garraway. "It has been really cute. It's a really nice little moment."

Bloom, 34, also talked aobut how his mother will be the "coolest grandma" and went into how strange it was to seemingly have a baby out of nowhere, while his wife dealt with pregnancy.

"[Being a father] is great, I love it," Bloom said in the interview. "It's mad because as a woman you carry the baby for nine months so you're very conscious that you have a baby inside you. But for a guy it's like suddenly there's a baby there, and what? But he's amazing, he's great."

Kerr, 27, confirmed their son's birth in her blog on the KORA Organics website and posted a photo of her breastfeeding the newborn Flynn.

"He weighed 9lb 12 ounces (a very healthy and big baby boy)," the Victoria Secret model wrote. "I gave birth to him naturally - without drugs or painkillers and it was a long, arduous and difficult labor, but Orlando was with me the whole time supporting and guiding me through it. I could not have done it without him."

Bloom and Kerr dated for at least three years before secretly getting married this July. Kerr announced her pregnancy shortly after the wedding.

The British actor was named the spokesmodel for the Hugo Boss cologne Boss Orange Man and admit to Elle UK that before being asked to be involved in the product, he wasn't a "fragrance guy." Actress Sienna Miller is the face of Boss Orange Woman.

Bloom starred in three "Pirates of the Caribbean" and "Lord of the Rings" movies and is reportedly set to reprise his "Lord of the Rings" role of Legolas in the movie "The Hobbit," a prequel, although his spokesperson has not confirmed the report, carried by the UK newspaper The Sun, which said the star is set to earn at least $1 million for a cameo. Actors Elijah Wood, Iam McKellan, Cate Blanchett and Andy Serkis are all returning to star in the new film.
