"I would have Marisa Tomei play me. I am such a Marisa Tomei fan," Gaga said on SiriusXM's Morning Mash Up. "All my friends call me Marisa when I get angry, because my New York accent just flies out of my body and I start smacking my gum."
Tomei, who is best known for her Oscar-winning role in the 1992 film "My Cousin Vinny," responded to Gaga's remarks during her appearance on "The View" on March 16 and revealed she was "thrilled." She adds, "I was pretty surprised."
Tomei also said, "I adore her."
The actress, who co-stars alongside Matthew McConaughey in the recently released film "The Lincoln Lawyer," maybe gearing up for a new role alongside "Sex and the City" actress Sarah Jessica Parker.
According to Variety, Tomei is in early talks to star in "Married and Cheating," an indie comedy set in both New York and Paris focused on three married couple struggling to find happiness. Tomei is currently filming "The Ides of March" with George Clooney.
