NeNe Leakes says Star Jones, one of her fellow contestants on Donald Trump's reality show "The Celebrity Apprentice," is a "disaster."
On the business-oriented series, whose fourth season premiered earlier this month, Jones has appeared confrontational to celebrities assigned as leaders of her all-female team. Actress Lisa Rinna and supermodel Niki Taylor have assumed the role and were both "fired" by Trump.
"She's bossy, selfish, conniving, manipulative, all of those things," Leakes said on the television show "Access Hollywood. "She is a disaster, honey. Believe me when I tell you, she is a disaster."
"Even though we're playing a game, listen, we are playing for charity," she added. "And I don't think you need to backstab and be so dirty to play for your charity. So, show just a little class."
Jones, 48, said earlier this month in a satellite interview with news outlets, including OnTheRedCarpet.com: "There started to be this little media push early on that four black women could not possibly get along. We sat down and talked about that, the four of us, and we decided that we ... would handle ourselves in a way that was reflective of African-American women. I don't think we all stepped up to the plate in that regard."
Leakes, a 42-year-old star of the reality series "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," had told news outlets, including OnTheRedCarpet.com, before the start of the new season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" that "Everybody knows that I get in Star's face."
"I will get in anybody's face if they really push me there and take me there. I feel like I was pushed and taken there," she added. "I'm really, really cool or I'm really jumping off the deep. You know, there's no middle with me. And I've got to learn to have a little bit of a middle. And if I come out with an enemy I probably come out with at least one. You know Star's got it in for me. We all know that right now. It's all good though."
Jones famously sparred with Rosie O'Donnell when the two were co-hosts on ABC's daytime talk show "The View" several years ago.
Hope Dworaczyk, a 26-year-old Playboy model who also stars on "The Celebrity Apprentice," told OnTheRedCarpet.com: "Everybody was great to work with but you'll be surprised on who is the meanest. You'd think it would be NeNe Leaks. She might have been the wildest and most over the top, but I think she has a run for her money with one of the older ladies in the cast."
The other remaining female cast members are singer Dionne Warwick, 70, Michael Jackson's sister La Toya Jackson, 54 and actress Marlee Matlin, 45.
The male cast members who are left are singers Meat Loaf, Mark McGrath and John Rich, actor Gary Busey and "Survivor" winner Richard Hatch.
Trump has said that the current season of "The Celebrity Apprentice" was a "total trainwreck" and praised Jackson, saying that she will "surprise a lot of people." He also added that he would love to have troubled actor Charlie Sheen on the show.
