Police initially received reports of a possible robbery at the Thien An Restaurant at 13518 Harbor Blvd. in Garden Grove at shortly after 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Responding officers found that four family members were stabbed by a man they did not know. The suspect was apparently eating alone at a table separate from where the family was sitting when some sort of altercation took place.
The suspect, who is described as a 41-year-old transient Asian male, was arrested.
