Britney Spears performed a free concert in San Francisco on Sunday for ABC's "Good Morning America" and fans went berserk when they saw the pop princess.
Fans begun arriving at dawn, lining the streets and as Spears was leaving, some were standing on cars to catch a glimpse of the pop singer. Spears also did an interview with host Robin Roberts, to air on March 29, the day of her "Femme Fatale" release. OnTheRedCarpet.com was on hand to catch the madness (see photos below).
Following the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium performance, Spears took to Twitter to send love to her fans.
"Leaving the Castro District," Spears wrote on Twitter. "I wanted to see more but I could barely get out the car!!! I love you all SO much -Brit"
The pop singer also posted a photo of her father with two drag queens and added, "Even my dad had a great time!"
On Friday night, Spears performed at Rain nightclub at the Palms Casino and Resort. The pop star's show opened with a montage of her best music videos before Spears came on-stage to perform her lead single, "Hold It Against Me," the will.i.am-produced "Bit Fat Bass" and finished with her new club song "Till the World Ends."
During her performance, the femme fatale climbed the speakers, did some dirty dancing with her fellow dancers and climbed the on-stage ladders as fireworks went off. MTV will be airing the performance later in the week.
Spears, 29, has been promoting her latest LP on various talk shows, including "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" where she performed "Till the World Ends" and "Hold It Against Me." The singer is scheduled to appear on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and the Kids' Choice Awards next week. She will also take over MTV on March 29 in what has been dubbed "Britney Takeover" day.
The pop star has been gearing up for her album release for months, releasing video and song teasers and a premiere of her "Hold It Against Me" music video.
Spears premiered her new music video "Hold It Against Me" in February and premiered the second single from the album, "'Till the World Ends," in early March. Check out the track listing for "Femme Fatale".
Correction: The original story identified the location of the concert as the Castro District of San Francisco. Britney Spears performed at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, which is located near the area. She also performed at noon, rather than in the morning, as stated previously.
