Jenny Hausch from Illinois was out with her family on a boat owned by Two Chicks Charter out of Islamorada, Fla. when the 300-pound eagle ray jumped into the vessel.
Kelly Klein, the owner of Two Chicks Charter, said the 10-foot-long ray landed on top of Hausch and trapped her until authorities arrived. Florida Fish and Wildlife Officers patrolling nearby heard the screams and rushed to help.
Hausch said she wasn't hurt. The eagle ray was also unharmed and was put back into the ocean.
In 2008, a woman was killed when an eagle ray jumped out of the water off Marathon Key and hit her in the head as she sped by in a boat.
