Twenty years after the opening of the Richard M. Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda, an in-depth exhibit on the Watergate scandal is making its debut.

For years, the library has been accused of glossing over the scandal that caused a constitutional crisis and ultimately led to Nixon's resignation.

But when the National Archives took over the library from a private organization four years ago, it began work on a makeover of the Watergate exhibit, which opened Thursday.

It features a much more detailed and critical account of the Watergate break-in and cover-up.
