Nicole Polizzi, aka Snooki from MTV's raunchy reality show "Jersey Shore," was the victor in her WrestleMania XXVII battle at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia on April 3rd.
Snooki surprised the audience by doing a double handspring into her competitor, WWE star Michelle McCool and taking her down with an elbow. Snooki, who was a cheerleader in high school proved that despite her pint-sized stature, her strength should not be underestimated. The "Jersey Shore" star also brought in a sold-out record crowd of 71,617 people.
Snooki first showcased her wrestling skills in a March episode of the WWE show "Raw," where she and WWE Diva Trish Stratus wrestled in the ring against Vickie Guerrero, who won with the help of boyfriend Dolph Ziggler, as well as Michelle McCool and partner Layla.
During her "Ray" appearance, Polizzi accepted a Wrestle Mania challenge from Guerrero to team with Stratus and wrestler John Morrison to fight Layla and Michelle McCool and Ziggler.
WrestleMania XXVII also featured the return of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, who hosted the wrestling event. He has in recent years concentrated on his acting career and appears in the new "Fast and the Furious" film, "Fast Five."
Snooki and the "Jersey Shore" cast will begin filming season four of the hit MTV show in Italy in the spring. What did you think of Snooki's WWE appearance? Vote in our poll.
