OTRC: Kent Boyd dancing on 'SYTYCD' season 8?

'So You Think You Can Dance' season 7 runner-up Kent Boyd spills on if he'll return as an all-star on season 8.

Fans of 'So You Think You Can Dance' remember season seven runner-up Kent Boyd as a wide-eyed, big-smiled bundle of energy, who lit up the dance floor every time her performed.

We caught up with the very busy rising star, who was eager to talk about his appearance at the first ever Reality Rocks Expo in Downtown Los Angeles.

"The dancers from 'So You Think You Can Dance', dancers from all different seasons are here, just supporting Reality Rocks Expo. And we're just here, hanging out, having fun, and maybe you can catch us dancing all together."

Boyd also shared how much his life has changed since the show, and what he's been working on.

"The show has done so much for me," he said. "We went on tour after the show. We did 40 cities. And that's the best thing to do that we get to interact with those fans. Because when you're on the show, you just think your mom's watching. But when you get out there, it's like oh my gosh, all these people know my name. So just thanking them for all their support is just great."

"I just recently was a dancer on a film with Al Pacino, and things are just, I know crazy right, he added. "He was just trying to memorize his lines and everything, so I was just trying to give him his space. But he was very friendly and it was great to be on the set with such an amazing actor."

The 19-year-old also spilled what he knows about the upcoming season eight, "As far as I know, it's going to be completely different. And instead of a top ten like last season, they're doing a top 20. And with the all-stars, they're going to do kind of like a pool of it, so there's not going to be a set amount of all-stars. They're going to try to make them match with the contestants, make sure that they match well. So it's really going to be kind of like a free-for-all, and there's going to be more variety, and it's going to be more excitement. So season eight's going to be really different, but hopefully it will be huge."

But will he have a spot as one of those all-stars?

"They kind of keep you guessing, but hopefully," he said with a smile. "I did pretty good on the last season so hopefully they'll ask me back."
