Amanda Bynes was upset last week after her pomeranian puppy Little Angel died after going missing, the actress introduced her new puppy Tiara on Twitter on Monday.

On the social networking site, Bynes also defended her decision to adopt a new puppy so soon after the death of Little Angel, after receiving some criticism.

For those asking if it's too soon for me to get a new puppy, it isn't too soon," Bynes wrote on Twitter. "Tiara's helping me cope with the loss of Little Angel."

Bynes purchased her new pomeranian from Star Yorkie Kennel in Reseda, California.

Late on Tuesday, April 5, the 25-year-old "Hairspray" and "Easy A" actress wrote on her Twitter page: "Little Angel is in heaven now. RIP. I love you."

A day earlier, Bynes said that the 4-month-old dog "got out of my house somehow and is LOST," adding: "If anyone finds her I BEG you to please contact me thru twitter, I will give a reward. She means the WORLD to me & I can't find her anywhere."

The actress, who also reportedly has two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, has not specified if and where Little Angel was found.

In Southern California, small pets are sometimes snatched by coyotes. Singer Jessica Simpson had lost her dog Daisy this way.

In December 2010, "Desperate Housewives" actress and singer Vanessa Williams lost her Yorkie, Enzo, after he fell down a hill outside the backyard of her Hollywood Hills home during a rainstorm. Her spokesperson said that the dog has not yet been found.
